A MAN who got "steaming drunk" on a stag trip got embroiled in violent scenes at an Accrington home, a court was told.
Jason Tomlinson, 25, of Spring Street, Accrington, pleaded guilty to offences of assault and affray relating to the incident in Malham Avenue, Accrington.
Preston Crown Court heard Mr Peter Mooring had been at home, talking when, in his words, "all hell broke loose".
Rachael Woods, prosecuting, said he heard a crash at the front door and seven or eight males burst into the house.
Tomlinson was involved in an attack on a friend of Mr Mooring, Steven Walsh, who had a plate or soup bowl smashed on his head. He was punching him and saying "I'm going to kill you Steve".
Philip Holden, defend-ing, said Tomlinson had returned just that evening from a 30-strong stag party trip to Prague and was extremely drunk.
Mr Holden explained: "It wasn't his argument, but was between his brother-in-law and the two complainants.
"His brother-in-law had injuries which the defendant could see and that is what made him go round, effectively to sort the matter out."
Tomlinson was ordered to do 150 hours unpaid community work and pay £250 compensation to Mr Walsh and £250 to Mr Mooring.
