A YOUNG couple's holiday in Blackpool ended in disaster.
Andrew Clarkson, 25, was arrested after grabbing his partner by the hair and pulling her onto a hotel bed.
Clarkson, a print firm worker, of Clarendon Road East, Blackburn, admitted assaulting Jacqueline Brown.
He was fined £100 and ordered to pay £55 costs by Blackpool magistrates.
Prosecutor Sharon Child said on April 29 the couple went to the resort and, after visiting several pubs, they argued.
Back at their guesthouse Clarkson's partner said she was going home and began packing.
Clarkson grabbed her hair, pulled her onto the bed and put his hand over her mouth.
Steven Townley, defending, said the couple, who had two children, had both been drinking.
He added: "There was an argument and there was some pushing and shoving.
"My client maintains it was six of one and half-a-dozen of the other."
