COMMUTERS faced more than 10 hours of delays yesterday after a train was damaged when it hit an object on the track.
The incident happened near Lancaster at 4.15pm yesterday, but caused knock-on delays on the Transpennine Express Service through Blackburn, Accrington and Burnley.
Inspector Eddie Wiley, of the British Transport Police, said. "Fortunately on this occasion nobody has been injured."
