A WOMAN attacked two people inside and outside a takeaway in Burnley town centre, a court heard.
Lucy Corvino, 19, of St Leonard's Street, Padiham, had drunk too much, felt sorry for herself, and vented her feelings in an "alcoholic stupor" after her purse went missing, Burnley Crown Court was told.
In the early hours melee which followed, Corvino and a friend were said to have hit one of their victims with a bottle, punched them, and thrown pizza at them.
Jonathan Doney, 22, who was hit with the bottle, graduated days later, but could not have pictures taken because of his injuries, the court heard.
The other victim, Jennifer Goddard, 23, was left with cuts and bruises.
Corvino, who is expecting a baby in August, and Gary Brelsford, 23, of Rydal Close, Padiham, pleaded guilty to assaulting Mr Doney, causing him actual bodily harm during the incident last July. Corvino also admitted common assault.
She was given a four-month jail term, suspended for 18 months, with 18 months supervision.
Brelsford was sentenced to 280 hours community service and was ordered to pay £200 compensation Sentencing, Judge Angela Nield said the offences had warranted prison and drink was no excuse.
She added: "People who go out to enjoy themselves in town centres do not expect to be the victims of such vicious behaviour."
Jeremy Grout-Smith, prosecuting, told the court a friend of Corvino's made remarks to Miss Goddard.
Corvino was said to have become aggressive and punched Mr Doney twice in the face.
Mr Grout-Smith said Brelsford then got involved and started to punch and kick Mr Doney.
The court heard Mr Doney was helped outside, and sat on a park bench with Miss Goddard, but Corvino and Brelsford renewed hostilities.
Mr Grout-Smith said Corvino hit Mr Doney over the left eye with a bottle and grabbed Miss Goddard's hair.
Michael Murray, for Corvino, said the offences had been out of character.
Representing Brelsford, Martin Hackett, said the defendant regretted his actions.
