PEOPLE are being invited to take part in a survey to find out what problems need tackling in their area.
The Nelson Neighbourhood Action Group has identified that community clean-ups are one way of improving the way people feel about the area in which they live.
And to help find out exactly what is needed where, they are asking for residents' expert help in carrying out Street Audits; starting in Southfield and then rolling out across other parts of Nelson.
If anyone is concerned about anti-social behaviour, lack of rubbish bins, poor street lighting, rubbish dumped in back streets or fly-tipping, this is their chance to get something done about it.
Work will start at 10am on June 3 at Newfield Drive Community Centre going through what is involved in a street audit, a buffet lunch before carrying out the street audits from 12.30 to 2.30pm returning to the community centre to finish at 3pm.
