AN EIGHTIES disco is being held for the second year running in memory of a Blackburn woman who died after a brave fight against breast cancer.
Penny Rose Lewis, 36, of Brownhill Road, Blackburn, died in May, 2004, despite travelling around the country for different treatments.
The mum-of-one was well-known for her love of 80s culture, so to toast her memory and raise money for cancer research her friends and family are putting on a disco and karaoke based on music from her beloved decade on June 3.
It follows a successful similar event last year and it will again be held at Old Blackburnians Association FC, Lammack Road, Blackburn.
For tickets, priced at £5, call 01254 581863 or 01254 722283.
