The dizzyingly danceable Sabbatical mixes the glacial atmospherics of Chameleons and Puressence with song structures that switch moods faster than a straitjacketed inmate.
It's a swooping, euphoric release with tremors of Queens Of The Stone Age and the stabs of splenetic noise that just aren't frequent enough.
Vacuous lines like She's a hovercraft' would make even Marc Bolan cringe, though.
Released May 22, 2006.
