The Sunshine Underground are looking to follow in fellow Leeds band The Kaiser Chiefs' footsteps with their snappy new single I Ain't Losing Any Sleep, released on May 15. Check out the video here.
The four members met in their native Shrewsbury and collectively moved to Leeds a couple of years ago. By the start of 2005 the band had signed to City Rockers and in July released their debut single, Put You In Your Place. A second single, Commercial Breakdown, garnered acclaim from XFM and the NME.
The band are currently putting the finishing touches to their debut album, which is being recorded with Dan Kahuna (FC Kahuna), Segs and Steve Dubb. The long player is planned to be released in the early autumn of 2006.
