STAFF and pupils at Beardwood High School, Blackburn have never felt so safe.
For the school in Preston New Road has installed a new computerised CCTV system.
The system, installed by Rossendale-based Delta Fire And Security Protection, sends high-resolution images from a network of cameras direct to a computer server, allowing the school to store and access video footage easily.
School business man-ager Jackie McGeady stressed there had been no "major incidents" of vandalism or other crime at the school which was simply being "pro-active".
She added:"Security and the safety of our pupils and staff is paramount."
