PUPILS at Todmorden High School are being encouraged to use the bus on their journey to and from the Burnley Road school by older children.
Sixth-formers are being trained by a bus company to come up with a plan to encourage pupils who live in Cornholme and Walsden to use the My Bus service.
Sheena Pickersgill, Metro's director of corporate services, said the scheme at Todmorden was very successful because the senior pupils were entering into it.
They had been learning the techniques of marketing Metro's services, organising a passes scheme, setting a quiz for the school to take part in and learning about the dangers associated with congestion.
