KELBROOK Post Office is to close at the end of June.
But the popular facility in the village east of Barnoldswick is only shutting temporarily.
It comes after the resignation of the sub-postmaster.
Rural transfer adviser from the Post Office, Ian Liley, said: "We apologise for the inconvenience this temporary closure will cause but I can assure our customers that we will be doing all we can to restore service as soon as possible.
"Anyone interested in the vacancy, who must be able to provide suitable premises, should contact our agency recruitment section on 0845 601 6260."
