Firefighters were called out several times last night to put out grass fires in Rawtenstall which had been started deliberately.
The first, at 7.10pm was in Loughclough Park near the bowling green.
Two hours later firefighters were back out again and needed help from Greater Manchester Fire Service to extinguish a fire on Moorland near Rochdale Road in Edenfield.
And shortly before 10pm they were back out again at a fire on a farm track at Holland Avenue.
