A BINGE drinker who stole from her best friend's bank account while drunk is trying to rebuild bridges, a court heard.
Nicola Jay Horner took her friend's cash card and used the pin number to withdraw £450 which she spent on booze, Blackburn magistrates were told.
Horner, 26, of Romney Walk, Blackburn, pleaded guilty to theft from Allison Hughes. She was made subject to community supervision for two years and ordered to pay £450 compensation and £65 costs.
The court previously heard the two women were so close they had even exchanged pin numbers so they could collect money from the machine for each other.
Jonathan Taylor, defending, said his client accepted she had been extremely foolish.
"Had she not been under the influence of alcohol she would not have done this to her friend," said Mr Taylor. "She is doing all she can to rebuild bridges."
