POLICE in Great Harwood have called on residents to make sure that windows are kept secure at night after a series of sneak-in burglaries.
Sgt Ian Corbett said that the current warmer weather has seen a rise in burglaries as people attempt to stay cool over night.
In one incident this week two houses in Game Street, Great Harwood, were raided on the same night. Sgt Corbett said: "With the warm weather people are leaving windows open overnight."
He added: "Even during the day this is an issue and people should beware."
