TRADERS at Rawtenstall Market today said it was business as usual after a fire.
A fire in the cafe last Thursday forced the venue to shut for a few days.
This led to rumours that the town centre market was going to be closed for a considerable time, affecting traders' centenary celebrations.
However, stall holders rallied round, cleaning the shopping centre, which re-opened on Saturday.
And now traders are urging people to join in the fun next weekend when the centenary day celebrations are being held.
Joan Whiteley, owner of J and I Biscuits said: "We are open as usual and we are going ahead with the centenary day event as planned.
"There were rumours going round that the market had closed but we have not.
"We have been out cleaning like mad and we are open again."
The event on Saturday, May 20 will feature a host of attractions including clog dancing, stall holders dressed in Edwardian clothes, and a dance display.
