FIREFIGHTERS were called to the Hospice Shop in Colne Road, Burnley, when the front of the building caught light.
It is believed a discarded cigarette could have set fire to the wood frontage but the blaze is not being treated as suspicious.
The window surround was burnt and there was some smoke damage inside the shop after the incident shortly before 4pm on Thursday.
