A Whalley singer is due to perform to troops across the world.
Shereen Guerin, 24, is a member of pop-trio Mrs Robinson, who were set to perform to soldiers and their families at Catterick Army Garrison tonight.
The concert coinciding with the release of the band's single "Don't Forget My Name" will also be broadcast online to troops serving in Iraq and all over the world.
The group was formed after Shereen, a former pupil at Our Lady of Perpetual Succour Primary School, Blackburn, took part in FHM magazine's inaugural High Street Honeys beauty competition three years ago.
Her friend Tanya Robinson, also 24, won and the girls were soon spotted by independent record label Believe and teamed up with Paula Cremin, 20, who they met in a London recording studio.
Proceeds of the song will go to the Army Benevolent Fund (ABF) the Army's national charity.
The idea came from Tanya, whose dad served in the armed forces.
The single was to be released today as a free download from the charity's website www.armybenfund.org and anyone downloading the single will be encouraged to give a donation.
The band will also perform a concerts on Tuesday and Wednesday at Colchester and Aldershot Garrisons.
