HARD work and a good sense of humour are the key to long life, says Annie Redhead who celebrates her 100th birthday today.
Mrs Redhead said she was "blessed" to have lived as long as she has.
Last year Mrs Redhead, who lives at Birchfield care home, Blackburn, celebrated her 99th birthday with a trip to the top of Blackpool Tower but this year opted for a meal out with family and friends.
Mrs Redhead, whose husband Ernie died 30 years ago, was a worker in the weaving mills, a job she began when she was just 12 years old.
