A BLACKBURN woman who piled more than 20 bin bags full of rubbish in her back garden was in breach of a previous abatement order.
And town hall officials are now seeking an anti-social behaviour order (ASBO) against Hayley Wignall in order to protect her neighbours.
Wignall, of Sandwich Close, Blackburn, was convicted in her absence at Blackburn Magistrates Court of contravening the abatement order and the case was adjourned until April 13 to give her chance to object to the ASBO application.
Alan Fairhurst, prosecuting, said Wignall had been served with an abatement notice in May after an accumulation of rubbish in her back garden. A further complaint in July revealed more than 20 bags of rubbish stacked against the wall.
"This is a matter of extreme irritation to her neighbours and the Environmental Health Department, especially in Summer," said Mr Fairhurst.
