BURNLEY College is now running electrical engineering courses for non-electricians.
The college has received accreditation from the National Association of Professional Inspectors and Testers, which will allow it to run courses for installers such as plumbers or joiners.
Peter Collinge, curriculum manager in construction, said: "This provides a significant link to the electrical industry all across the north. We're extremely grateful that NAPIT have agreed to provide this and it's a great benefit to local trades people."
