More than 100 people turned out to celebrate 25 years of the Hyndburn Singers at a special performance.
The event, at the Whalley Road United Reformed Church, Accrington, saw the choir perform a range of songs, including "O Who Will O'Er The Downs So Free" one of the first songs performed by the choir when it formed in 1981.
The special guests at the event were the Accrington Male Voice Choir.
The choir was founded in January 1981 by Cynthia and Alan Ashworth who placed adverts asking for local singers.
A choir of 30 voices was formed with Alan as conductor and Cynthia as pianist. The couple moved to Cumbria in 1997 but Alan remains president of the singers.
The choir still boasts three founder members and four others who joined in 1981.
Secretary Marjorie Barker said: "It was a wonderful night and the church was packed. The demand for tickets was more than we could supply."
The singers are looking for more men to join the group. Rehearsals are held every Tuesday at the United Reformed Church and for more information contact Marjorie on 01254 233168.
