THE voice of a small Pendle town can now be heard in far flung parts of the British Isles.
For 10 balloons released at the Brierfield Spring Festival have landed in County Meath, southern Ireland.
The theme of this year's event was the voices of Brierfield and organisers decided to hold a balloon launch at the last minute to spread the word of the town.
The balloons all belonging to youngsters at Walter Street Primary School, got tangled and travelled across the Irish Sea before landing in a field.
They were found by a German couple Eileen and Haus Filfinger who wrote to the school.
