COMMUNITY, voluntary and faith groups in Great Harwood are being given a chance to promote themselves by flying their flag from the town's gateway signs.
The Great Harwood Community Action Group is urging anyone representing such a group which has a logo they would like to publicise to get involved in the new scheme.
The action group has received funding from the Area Council and support from the Great Harwood Business Forum to install 25 flags along Queen Street.
Community representatives are also being offered the opportunity to maintain and sponsor one of the flower tubs beneath the gateway signs to brighten up the street.
People will be able to pre-book space on the signs to advertise special events throughout the year but they will need to provide their own flags.
Businesses will not be able to use the space for advertising because of restrictions to the funding.
For more information or to request an order form telephone Alan Whalley, from the Great Harwood Community Action Group, on 01254 884322.
