A MAN with a history of alcoholism drank himself to death, an inquest heard.
The hearing was told Bernard Quinn was found collapsed lying in the hallway of his Mercer Crescent home in Helmshore, on December 6 last year by post woman Julie Wright.
Neighbour Pamela Tetlow told the court the 58-year-old began drinking more heavily after he lost his job and his wife left him. She added Mr Quinn would often fall over.
Pathologist Abdul Al Dowd, said Mr Quinn, who had a deep cut on the back of his head, was four times over the drink drive limit and died from alcohol consumption.
