A DRUNK challenged by security staff at Morrisons shouted racist abuse at one of the guards, a court was told.
Blackburn magistrates heard that Peter Thomas Evans threatened to "slash" the men and said he would take them outside and "cut you up."
And the court was told that after leaving the store Evans returned later with several friends and made further threats.
Evans, 24, of Bridge Street, Blackburn, pleaded guilty to racially aggravated threatening behaviour. He was sentenced to 120 days in prison, suspended for two years and ordered to pay £100 compensation.
Roger Pickles, defending, said Evans simply couldn't explain his behaviour.
"He accepts that the words he used were unfortunate and nasty but he doesn't hold those views and they were stupid things to say," said Mr Pickles. "He is horrified by what happened and accepts he was totally out of order."
