PENDLE MP Gordon Prentice has discovered there are almost 400 farms in Britain still affected by radioactive fall out from the Chernobyl disaster in the Ukraine 20 years ago.
A Department of Health Parliamentary answer has admitted there are 375 farms still under restrictions because of contamination from the catastrophe in April 1986.
The bulk 355 are in the Snowdonia area.
Mr Prentice said the information strengthened the case not to build any more atomic power stations
