A few years back, when Yeah Yeah Yeahs' Karen O pouted and purred she caused tremors of excitement in shoe-gazing indie boys, while their girlfriends rushed to H&M to copy her outfits.
But while recording this opening single from their second full album, our stroppy heroine must have stumbled into the studio next door, where a daydreaming Turin Brakes are idly strumming.
Like reformed rebels, all their edginess has been carefully worn away.
Released March 20, 2006.
