Mali's most famous musician, Ali Farka Toure, tragically died of cancer earlier this month, but the sound lives on with the likes of Grammy nominees Amadou and Mariam, enjoying a renaissance after nearly 30 years together.
It's rare for a Francophone African act to get a single release in the UK, which makes Coulibaly even more of a treat.
On the album version, uplifting vocals interplay with coralling blues strings, all firmly stuck together by a delicate dance-pop beat.
Meanwhile, the ever-reliable Ashley Beedle draws out Coulibaly to seven minutes on the remixes, complete with additional percussion and funk basslines.
Released March 20, 2006.
