North West MEP Gary Titley is one of more than 400 MEPs calling on UEFA to eliminate racism from football.
MEPs are campaigning to impose heavy fines on clubs for racist incidents.
Mr Titley said: "Over recent seasons black footballers including English stars, playing for both club and country have suffered appalling abuse in certain parts of Spain and Italy."
