The number of people attending Church of England services in Lancashire are up for the second year in a row.
Average weekly attendances were up six per cent to 37,700 in the year 2003 to 2004, a rise the Bishop of Blackburn, the Very Rev Christopher Armstrong, described "very encouraging".
Church bosses said the figures proved that the Blackburn Diocese was becoming increasingly vibrant and open to everyone.
