Roads leading into a town are set for safety improvements.
Lancashire County Council has confirmed it plans to carry out work on Edisford Road, Pendle Road, Whalley Road, Waddington Road, and Chatburn Road, all on the approach to Clitheroe.
Red lines will be painted across each to slow drivers by creating a rougher road surface.
A new roundabout junction will also be created where Edisford Road meets St Paul's Street.
All the roads will remain 30mph zones.
