BUS passengers are being targeted as part of a campaign to promote the fair trade movement.
Pendle Council has joined forces with Manchester City Council, Burnley and Pendle Buses and United Co-op under the scheme campaign to promote fair trade to X43 bus passengers.
The Witch Way X43 bus service links Pendle, the UK's first Fair Trade Borough, with Manchester.
During Fair Trade Fortnight, March 6 to19, leaflets will be distributed on the service to help raise awareness of the Fair Trade Mark produce which sees a larger share of the profits returned to the producers, often from impoverished countries.
Leaflet holders will be in with a chance of winning a Fair Trade hamper or a monthly bus ticket, donated by Burnley and Pendle .
The route of the Witch Way follows the cotton industrial heritage of Lancashire and Manchester, providing another link to the national Fair Trade Fortnight campaign 2006 which has adopted the theme of cotton.
