A 15-YEAR-OLD girl had to be cut free from a car after the 17-year-old driver lost control and smashed into a parked car.
The girl suffered a suspected broken pelvis and cuts and bruises in the accident in Booth Road, Stacksteads, just before 8.50pm yesterday.
Firefighters had to cut the roof off the Citroen Saxo. The road was closed for about an hour and the girl was taken to Rochdale Infirmary.
PC Neil Goodison said: "A young man in a Saxo was driving like a lunatic, he lost control and crashed into a Citroen Xantia."
"His passenger had to be cut. Investigations are ongoing."
