THREE of the original Calendar Girls are to tell their inspirational story at a ladies' lunch meeting in the Ribble Valley.
Tricia Stewart, Beryl Bamforth and Ros Fawcett famously stripped off for a charity calendar organised by the Rylstone Women's Institute, near Skipton.
Their story went on to inspire the hit film Calendar Girls which in turn attracted queues of cinema-goers and repeat showings when the movie opened in Clitheroe's cinema in 2002.
The trio will be attending a lunch in aid of a children's charity at the Mytton Fold Hotel in Langho next Wednesday.
Doreen Taylor, who has organised the event, said: "We are looking forward to a really special occasion. The Calendar Girls will no doubt have many tales to tell about their fantastic experience and will also have a good variety of stalls in the room."
Tickets are priced £20 each and all money raised goes to the Make A Wish Foundation, a charity which grants wishes for children with life-threatening conditions. Guests can arrive from 11am onwards.
To reserve a place phone Mrs Taylor on 01254 813520.
