PEOPLE can get involved with a Colne nature reserve tonight.
Greenfield Road Nature Reserve is in the process of becoming an official local nature reserve' and Friends of Greenfield are carrying out projects to improve the beauty spot.
Declaration as a local nature reserve' by Pendle Council will mean the area is protected against development. The Wildlife Trust has also secured funding from the Pendle Canal Corridor Small Projects Fund to design a reserve leaflet and install new information boards.
Friends of Greenfield meets at the Crown Hotel, Colne, at 7pm and will discuss future activities and ways to increase use of the nature reserve.
