With 17 members, it's not surprising to find that Broken Social Scene's sound is diverse.

There's a lot going on on this dreamy mix of chilled out symphony and indie rock.

You can hear bits of Go Team, Blue Nile and early U2 in some of the epic instrumentals which sometimes sound messy and random, at other times inspired and uplifting.

This is the Canadian ensemble's third album, and at over 60 minutes, it is a little long.

Songs drift seamlessly into each other, making it something you can't simply dip into.

Dive in with both feet.
