A 30-year-old man who drove a mini motorbike on the pavement for just 25 yards has been banned from driving.
Blackburn magistrates heard that Andrew Carl Jones and friends had been drinking before taking the miniature motorbike on to private land in Clitheroe.
And they rejected a special reasons argument that he should not be disqualified based on the shortness of distance driven.
Jones, of Shireburn Avenue, Clitheroe, pleaded guilty to driving with excess alcohol, without insurance and other than in accordance with a licence.
He was fined a total of £460 with £50 costs and banned from driving for 12 months the minimum disqualification despite a reading nearly three times the legal limit.
Kevin Preston, defending, said police stated Jones was riding at little more than walking speed and the officer's estimate of the distance driven was 25 yards.
