A REFURBISHMENT of the pets' corner in an Oswaldtwistle park is to be completed after a new group agreed to take over its running.
The Friends of Rhyddings Park are hoping to introduce a variety of birds and animals and open up the corner with a new path and landscaping.
Volunteers from the group are taking a nationally-recognised certificate in small animal care which includes basic first aid, stock control, feeding and practical handling.
Hyndburn Council has approved a £5,000 gran. Neil Mooney, chairman of the Friends of Rhyddings Park, said: "I'm looking forward to working with people to improve Pets Corner and make more use of our park."
Anyone interested in looking after the animals contact Nicole Cook 01254 380198 for further details.
