IF taking a trip down memory lane is your idea of a good night out, then you'd best head down to Blackpool.
For Retro, the apparently-unstoppable juggernaut of a dance brand, has found itself a new home beside the seaside.
The night, showcasing the best House music from the last 20 years, had been a regular feature at The Syndicate in Blackpool.
But since the club first lost its late licence, only to regain it before closing for a refurbishment, the Burnley-based DJ behind the night, Paul Taylor, has been forced to look elsewhere.
And from tonight, they will be taking over Klub DNA on the Central Promenade on the first Friday of every month.
Paul said: "We can't wait to get started at DNA because it is a venue with House music history.
"It was known as Loveshack 12 years ago and clubbers from across the region used to go to Blackpool just to hear the House music it was pioneering.
"We want to whip up the atmosphere and dig deep to play the kind of classic tunes which first made their mark in Blackpool when House music arrived."
Retro has come a long way from the last hour of the old Angels club in Burnley and now runs seven successful monthly residencies across the UK including one in Burnley at Club XS, which Paul part-owns.
In recent years, the brand has travelled overseas and established itself in Ibiza, Majorca and Greece.
Paul said: "All we try and do is recreate the Angels vibe, playing nothing but great House, some of which never made the charts but which people love.
"Whether it is in Ibiza or Burnley, we try to make sure clubbers leave brimming from ear-to-ear. We want people to say "oh, I remember that one" but what makes doing this so great is that a new generation of clubbers are falling in love with the House genre."
Paul will be on the decks tonight with Jay-Lee Lloyd from 10pm until 3am. Admission is £8.
