HYNDBURN residents are being urged to have their say on controversial plans to shake-up hospital services across East Lancashire.
A public meeting at Accrington's Scaitcliffe House, in Ormerod Street, will hear from Val Burtenshaw from the East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust on the current clinical services review.
There are fears that the review could see intensive care beds that provide crucial support for emergency patients move from Burnley General to Queen's Park Hospital in Blackburn.
People will be able to quiz Mrs Burtenshaw on the need for change at the meeting, which takes place on Wednesday, February 8, at 2pm.
Hyndburn Councillor Marlene Haworth said: "The outcome of the East Lancashire's clinical services review will have a direct impact on how services are provided in the future.
"This meeting gives all residents the opportunity to hear the presentation and ask questions."
