NELSON residents who lent their faces to the giant mural around the former Grand Cinema site are being asked to get in touch with the council.
The site is being redeveloped to create a contact centre, shops and a cafe which means the mural will be taken down. Now civic leaders want to give every person featured a copy of their photograph.
Pendle Council leader Coun Alan Davies said: "Now that work has begun for the new Nelson business centre in Market Street, clearance of the former Grand Cinema site will be taking place in the spring and the mural will be taken down.
"To thank all those local people who agreed to have their pictures included in the mural, we want to give them the opportunity to have a copy of their photo." Contact Claire Tulloch in the Council's Communications Team on (01282) 661984 or email claire.tulloch@pendle.gov.uk.
