A TEENAGE burglar kept his freedom but was warned jail awaited if he continued to offend.
Burnley Crown Court heard Ikram Ullah, 19, had been under the influence of drink when he struck at the house in Reedley Road, Reedley and stole a mobile phone.
Ullah, of Stanley Street, Brierfield, admitted burglary.
He was given 120 hours community punishment, with a 12 month community order and ordered to pay £460 compensation and £300 costs.
Judge Pamela Badley told him those who clocked up three convictions for burglary faced a minimum of three years behind bars and he now had one conviction.
