A 20-year-old woman who walked away from a horror smash with minor injuries was today described as "very lucky" by police.
The woman was heading towards Blackburn on the Grane Road in Haslingden when she lost control on a tight left hand bend near the Grey Mare pub at 9.30pm yesterday.
Her car left the road and rolled onto its roof. She was cut free from the wreckage by firefighters and taken to Blackburn Royal Infirmary with a minor leg injury.
Inspector Steve Haworth said: "She was very lucky not to have been more seriously injured."
