BRIERFIELD residents met to help shape important plans to reinvigorate a key part of town.
Residents turned up at Brierfield Town Hall to share ideas on how to improve the canal and railway around Clitheroe Road.
The aim of the projects is to bring the area of Brierfield back into the heart of the town.
Neighbourhood manager Sara Mumby said: "We wanted to get people to adopt Brierfield station and get ideas on how it could become a place to be proud of and more user friendly."
Coun Frank Wren added: "With all the work to improve Brierfield, adopting the station and working with local residents is a brilliant idea. Pendle Council fully supports Brierfield residents getting together to reinvigorate the town."
Meanwhile, Mr Wren today also warned landlords that action would be taken to stop buildings falling into disrepair.
His comments came after concerns were raised about the safety of a former butcher's building in Railway Street, near the railway.
He added: "A lot of work is being done to improve the town but this building is a dreadful eyesore and looks like it's leaning. It needs demolishing.
"Landlords need to know that they cannot get away with doing nothing. Action will be taken against them."
