AN ex-addict turned back to drugs and crime after her father died, a court was told.
Burnley magistrates heard Karen Taylor, 33, now wanted professional help to rid herself of her habit.
Taylor, of Rostletop Road, Earby, admitted theft of razor blades from Asda, possessing crack cocaine and breach of a conditional discharge.
She was given 12 months supervision with nine months drug rehabilitation and ordered to pay £70 costs.
Nick Cassidy, defending, said Taylor had a drug addiction for nine years and before 2002 was regularly before the courts for dishonesty.
In recent years she had tried to fight her habit and had been caring for her father, the court was told.
When he recently died she started using drugs again and had now enrolled with the community drugs team.
Mr Cassidy added: "She needs the professional help of the probation service to help rid her of her addiction."
