THREE people have admitted carrying out what a judge called a "very serious" offence of violence at Longridge.
And they have been warned that they face possible custodial sentences.
The three pleaded guilty to unlawful wounding when they appeared at Preston Crown Court on Thursday.
The defendants are Paul Kelsall, 21, of Dawshaw Farm, Goosnargh, and two youths aged 17 and 15 who cannot be named for legal reasons.
They pleaded guilty to unlawfully wounding Alan Wells on August 4 last year.
The 17-year-old also admitted destroying a plant display and plants on August 6.
Their cases were adjourned for background reports to be drawn up by the probation service.
All were remanded on bail, to return for sentencing on February 9.
Judge Jonathan Foster QC said that, mercifully, the injuries to Mr Wells were not that serious.
He went on tell the defendants: "This is a very serious offence. The normal sentence would be one which would deprive you of your liberty.
"I will keep an open mind until I have all the information before me."
