A MAN employed by a contract cleaning company stole a phone belonging to the Nat West bank, Market Street, Darwen, where he was working, a court was told.
And Blackburn magistrates heard that Gary Raymond Horton ran up a bill of £228 before he was arrested.
Horton, 31, of Holden Fold, Darwen, pleaded guilty to theft from his employer.
He was made subject to a community supervision order for 12 months and ordered to do 80 hours community punishment.
He was also ordered to pay £230 compensation and £50 costs.
