ORGANISERS of Todmorden Business Association did not have to look hard for one of the winners of their annual awards.
Members decided to involve people living in the town by asking them to vote in the friendliest business category.
And it was won by a clear margin by the association chairman, Linda Young, the owner of the Bridge Cafe, Burnley Road.
Other shortlisted businesses were RM Care Services, Junipers Deli and P and S Stationery, with more than 400 people voting.
Association secretary Lynne Midwinter said: "We were delighted with the response we had for the business awards and hope to turn the presentations into an annual event with more categories.
"It is great that local businesses achieve some recognition for the wonderful services they provide."
