Motorpoint, the UK car supermarket group, has announced a five per cent increase in sales across its four locations in the last year.
The news comes at a time when the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) says the number of new cars sold to consumers in the UK last year fell by five per cent.
But Motorpoint, which has a sales operation in Rosegrove Lane, Burnley, said it recorded a five per cent increase in the number of new models sold because of the way it sells cars.
David Shelton, Motorpoint managing director said: "We are delighted to have bucked the trend."
