A 24-year-old motorist who gave a false name and date of birth to police when he was stopped by police got his sums wrong.
Blackburn magistrates heard that the year of birth he gave would have meant Imran Mohammed Akuji was 54.
"Not surprisingly the officer was suspicious," said Basharat Ditta, defending." My client was arrested and immediately gave full and correct details."
Akuji, of St Stephens Avenue, was remanded on bail for the preparation of a pre-sentence report after pleading guilty to driving while disqualified and without insurance.
